Slapping the mayor and some adventure

Well it's been a slow week for this Taru.

The usual things over the weekend, Sea, Sky, ToAU Missions and Assault.

Sea is going well. The group I am with is a new group formed from the Limbus shell I am in. We farm a lot and do lower tiered Jailers and Ix' Aern's right now. Friday we tried to get Ix' Aern Dark Knight to spawn but he didn't want to come play. So after a couple hours of killing we went and popped 2 Jailer of Fortitudes. It went well, no torque drop but I'll be patient. I actually didn't die so I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It seems I'm not dying as much as I used to...

Sky was the normal 2 Kirin pop on Saturday and farming on Sunday. Of course Kirin is being a stingy biotch with the W.Legs so again we didn't get those. We even had a TH4 thief but I guess it isn't our time.

ToAU missions are going well. Everyone is prepared and ready to go at the right time and we are breezing right through them. We are on a schedule that we should finish missions before I can obtain Captain Rank.

Assaults are rockin' and we're banging them out right and left. The group started at PSC and now everyone is Corporal or above. We should be done with rank assaults by February and that's giving a lot of breathing room for any snags.

Sunday night I also tried helping a friend get some Blue Mage spells. It didn't go so well but we had some good laughs.


I was out of town on Monday and Tuesday so I wasn't online.

Wednesday I was just goofing off installing the expansion, and Limbus. Installing the expansion was a pain. A few months back they had a problem with passwords and I was forced to change mine. Well, I forgot what it was. So after 1.5 hours of waiting on support I finally got to install and update. Worked good after that with a couple glitches, but all in all, it was playable. Limbus went well and I got 5 more coins to add to my pile for gear upgrades. I have 3 blm and 2 pld upgrades I want to do.

Thursday was some adventuring out in the expansion area and finishing some quests. I spent some time wandering around the expansion checking out new mobs, getting killed and just having fun. One new mob I saw, which really isn't a new mob, just looks a whole lot cooler. I want his armor! =P


Thursday night I also realized I could get the stone monument behind Garbage Shithole solo now, thanks to the expansion. I decided it was time to finish the quest "An Explorer's Footsteps". Well, just before I sat down to write this update I finished up the final one I needed. I went ot see Abelard for the final and to get rid of that damn clay once and for all(I've had it in my inventory for almost 2 years now lol). I gave him a good /slap and warped. I am very happy to have my CN map and one more quest completed.


Well eveyone is waiting for me in Sea so i'm off like a prom dress. I'll try ot be a little more on top of things as far as getting more SS's for you guys to see.

An Apology and some cathing up!

First off, to my readers, I want to apologize for the 2 months of no posting. I don't have an excuse for it, but know that it was not my intent to let this blog slide. Again, my deepest apologies to you, my reader. Now, on to the update.

Well, in the 2 months that I have been MIA I have accopmlished wuite a few things. My PLD is 75 now, some crafting, some meriting, and a whole lot of things collected.

About the time I went MIA I had just started to do sky again. I started with Serapis and things were a bit strange for me in that shell, at least for the first month or so. It has been quite a fun ride, and I hope it continues for a long time to come. I FINALLY got my Zenith Mitts. That was a day that I will remember for a long time. 1/23 on ever seeing them drop from that damn turtle. I lotted a 982 against a few others that were able to lot. I've picked up a Kirin's Pole, Koenig Schaller, and Koenig Handschuhs as well. I also made a good friend!



Being in sky again is weird, but at least the view is settling.




I've almost finished collecting items for my Obi's from sea. There is one mob out there that is not easy to solo and can get you killed if you're not on your game. Another Taru, who happens to be my larger twin also needed to kill this mob for the same organ. We went to sea and kicked some ass and got what we needed with a few laughs and 0 deaths. Thanks Ramp!




While I was leveling PLD I was skilling weapons a LOT. Staff, Club and Greatsword. I happen to be skiling staff in the Boyahda Tree and noticed quite a few people heading for Fafnir. I've never seen him so I thought I'd go check it out. Fafnir spawned and I went up and game him a good look. Damn is he one ugly bastard. =P




One more ugly SOB is this Antican, but thanks to his ranger friend, I have a shiny new earring. The Intruder Earring is a nice piece when I'm in an area that isn't under windy control. Basically it works great in Sea lol. Well, 1/2 on the NM and it was an easy camp.




One more accomplishment was the completion of Apocalypse Nigh. It took 2 groups and a few deaths but it was well worth it. I picked up an Ethereal Earring for my PLD as that is the best of the earrings for the jobs I have leveled and plan to level. Thanks Kelandra for setting up the sliver run and the AN run, It's much appreciated. To those that were there the night we were victorious... You guys rock, and thanks for sticking it out. It took us 4 different setups to get the job done, but everyone was there until the end.

The final setup had me on my 71PLD. I had never kited anything on PLD before(many Kirin's on BLM though lmao) so it was new to me. I died, but the rest of the team was able to get done what they needed time to do, so all in all I did my job. I also got a great view of Vanadiel with my ass in the air.



After getting high enough level for the Sapara of Trials, my NPC and I went to Kuftal and broke that latent in a couple sessions. I asked for help in LS but no one was able to help me out. I left it for a few days, and decided to go see an ugly mob by the name of Charybdis. It has a sword that I wanted for PLD. Joyeuse is a great weapon and I wanted it. I didn't have ToD but I went down to his hole and just started killing off Devil Mantas. Well, to my shock it popped and there I was, 75PLD/RDM, typing in all caps, sceraming for help in LS. I had a few people laugh at me and not believe me but after about 5 minutes of spamming into LS they believed and started OP'ing out to help. Well a JP RDM had shown up just before the pop, and had called some friends. We didn't have the right setup, and after 2 wipes, the JP team claimed and defeated Chary. Grats to them and DAMN you Chary, but I'll be back. I had ToD now so I camped religiously. This time the LS new ToD with me so we had a BRD, RDM, and MNK on standby. Now I'm sure you're saying why a Monk and not a Ninja or Thief. Well, this is no ordinary Monk. This is my good friend Isomiau. I've seen this guy tank some crazy shit on his monk and he has the gear and skill to pull it off. Well, Chary popped, we claim, and Iso, Jussmuss, Lecreuset, and myself)PLD/NIN this time) tear it a new one. I got my Joy toy and now I'm ready to kick some colibri ass!

Well, we're not done yet. Juss and his girlfriend Knin both would like this sword. The team is set, we have ToD, and now it's just a matter of time. Well we get the next pop and all is good until Chary uses an AoE attack, and then Cross Attack. Iso got a little cocky and had switched to WS gear at about the same time. BAM! down goes Iso O.O, oh shit, I don't really know why but instinct took over and I went to work on PLD/NIN. Standing toe to toe with Chary, which I was told that PLD's can't, or at least shouldn't tank Chary. Knin R1'd Iso while I tanked. Iso was resting off weakness when a Devil Manta popped and aggro'd me. I had to Invincible to stay alive cause between the Manta and Chary I couldn't keep shadows up. Iso disbanded and made short work of the Manta while I got back on track with Chary and shadows. Iso came unweak, rejoined party, and went back to work kickin' Chary's ass. We won and Juss got a new toy.

The next pop we lost to another group, but we claimed the following for another crazy run on Chary. This time Iso didn't swap gear but Chary pulled the same trick and made him eat dirt. This time he freaked me out cause he didn't wait for R1. He HP'd to Windy lol. There I was again, toe to toe with that silly starfish. It was almost routine though. Working Chary over with my Joy Toy, as another just watched and waited for me to go down. That would not be the case this day. I tanked my Tarudin ass off until Iso got back. He came back in full force, Hundred Fists a GOGO! Chary was dead soon after and Knin got her sword.

The same day I got my Joy Toy, Iso and Lec helped me get Savage Blade. It was a fun time and now I get to play basketball when I fight. GOGO Air Taru!!!



Well I have been doing Limbus with Eternus lately. We have a lot of fun and the coins drops are out of sight! The fewest amount of coins I've gotten is 4 and the best was 8 with anaverage of 5-6 per run. I've gotten my Loquacious earring and now working on gear upgrades. We did Omega again last week and got a few Homam drops which is great, moves me up the ladder for a few pieces.

The new event that has been going on around the land is everyone getting crystals for some sunglasses. Well me and a couple friends went around and gathered our crystals.

So I logged on yesterday and I get a tell from Neyla saying he needs a Tarutaru Paladin. Now I think it's a joke at first cuase why would a Bst need a PLD. Well it turns out he was helping a young smn get their avatars. He was on RDM/NIN and was looking for some more dmg to get them done. I suited up and headed out. We did 5 avatars in a couple hours and now the young smn just needs to get some fame in Norg for Levi and their collection will be complete. Grats Cort and thanks for having me along Neyla.

Artifact Help and some other little tidbits

Hey hey hey it's update time!

Saturday started like a normal one. Get up, make some coffee, check the a few things and fire up FFXI. I had made plans to help a friend with G1. This friend works nights so normally doesn't log on until about 2 in the afternoon. He went out for drinks the night before so I didn't plan on him being around until late afternoon lol. To my surprise he logged on shortly after I did and was ready to go take care of stuff.

We met up in Jeuno and headed for the Necropolis. We had already gotten the mold the weekend before. I went running around killing Lichs for their papyrus paper, and after the 5th one a nice thief came into the zone and offered to help. 2 more kills and the paper dropped. I remember spending 8+ hours down there for mine.

Next stop was the bomb coal from Garbage Shithole. As we arrived I dropped into the wrong area and happened along a friend who was down there for Serket I think. He asked what I was doing and I filled him in. He helped me get through the banishing gate and proceeded down to help with the Explosures. He pulled one and I waited a couple seconds and decided to grab one myself. I pulled mine close to his and let the -Ga magic fly. Well, it was some strange luck because that first explosure dropped 2 bomb coal, so needless to say we were quite shocked and pleased.

Back to Jeuno, and time to slap the old man.


Well, this same friend was very excited to get his first piece of AF and since we had gotten done with G1 so quick we went and did his Warrior legs quest. He couldn't wear them yet but he got them.


We also went and got Merc status for him and my second char which was a walk in the park.

In the evening was party time. I spent a few hours in a party on my Pld and dinged 68. Only a few more LONG levels to go.

After the party was over some people in my LS were going to do some of the missions for ToAU. I'm way behind on those so I went along. It was a lot of fun, and we almost got Proteus down. It was at 2% when I finally went down. 1 more drain and it would have been ours. We did make time for sexy time and a little cuddling on the ship lol

Since my SS skills were lacking, Lanien is the elvaan and Sactowngirl is the hume. We were all cracking jokes and having a good ol' time. Thanks for the help with the mission everyone.

Sunday was a great day for me. I started out in Misareaux Coast leveling my NPC with the Tactics Pearl. I finished off some stacks of items and Zoldof dinged 47 and almost 48. On my way back to town I was sent a /tell asking if I wanted to party. I'm on my thief so you can imagine the surprise when I got it. I agreed and headed for Aht Urhgan. I was only 2k into 59 so I figured I'd get close enough to 60 that I could solo it. Well, I got 60 and about 2k into level. OMG, FREAK OUT!!! Assassin is MINE!!! I was so excited when I dinged I had to look at my traits IMMEDIATELY to see it and make sure I wasn't dreaming.

60 is where Thief really starts to shine and gets a really good weapon skill. Well, a couple people had to leave so we just disbanded. Before we disbanded though, the 2 peeps that had to leave asked me if I wanted to go skillup with them and help with Dark Spark. Well, being only 1 skill level from Dancing Edge, I surely said yes. After they got back from dinner, we headed for Kuftal Tunnel. The crabs here check from Even Match to Tough. We all brought out our NPC's and went to work. 2 crabs in I had 100% TP and got my last skillup. BAM!! that crab never felt so much pain! I was all over that thing like white on rice. Shooting bolts so I could TP faster and just WS'ing, and it didn't matter if it was TA'd and SA'd, I just wanted to WS. I did realize that Thief is better than I thought. I was able to solo the Tough crabs without a problem and it really felt good. Before we were done Zoldof dinged another level taking him to 48 and I had my dagger skill capped.

Next we headed for Castle Zvahl and DS. I've never fought DS as a purely melee job so this would be a first. We TP'd up on a couple of demons and then popped the little bugger. It was so much fun taking him down like that, I may just have to find people that need to kill him just so I can take him out. I even got the kill shot YAY me!.

Monday was Dynamis and I'm getting closer to lotting on Valor Suroat for my Pld. In the last 3 runs I've seen 1 drop each run and I'm starting to drool. Always good runs, and just glad to still be having a lot of fun doing it.

Tuesday..... Well, I logged in, did guild points with my mule and then... fell asleep LOL.

Wednesday on the other hand was filled with a few laughs and helping a fellow Taru blm get some pants. If you read Pasquale's blog, you know he doesn't have the greatest luck(read dies A LOT) He had posted about trying to get a coffer key for the Necropolis and not having any luck. I got a hold of him and we went down there and whooped up on some skelly's and shades. It took a little while but finally a key dropped. Well, I still had plenty of time before Limbus so I pulled up some maps and Pas and I set off to go find a coffer. It took about a hour to find one, and unfortunately we had a death in the party... yep, you guessed it, Pas. Silly bombs and their aggro'ing magic. Well, I got over to where he was, raised him and we set off, finding the Coffer shortly afterwards. Grats Pas on your new pants!


Thursday was filled with aggravation. I decided I wanted to go fishing for skillups. Well, not many were to be had. I switched areas, bait, and still had no luck catching what I was after... the elusive skillup. Well, finally I said to hell with it and went back to the old standby, the lake in Jugner Forest. Well after I went back I got a skillup and then another. By the time I was done I had gotten 1 more level in fishing to take me to 28. Time to go catch me a Giant Catfish to turn in for my test. I might even start guild points to get some of the items.

Slow week

Well it hasn't been the most productive week but wasn't a total waste.

Thief has been an adventure in leveling, that's for sure. I really enjoy the job and I get quite a few compliments on how I play it so I must be doing something right. I was putzing around my Mog House on Saturday morning when out of the blue I get a tell asking for a party. I accept, head to Aht Urhgan only to notice that a couple of the players had underleveled sub jobs and had recently been pointed out as people that didn't have a clue how to play their jobs. I told the leader that I was going to go do my own thing and not subject myself to what I was sure was going to be a disappointment. I warped back to Windy and decided to gear up and head to Phomiuna Aqueducts to do some Codex farming. Just as I OP'd to Tavnazia I get another tell asking if I wanted to party. Before I even had a chance to reply I had 2 more tells come in asking the same thing. I almost fell off my chair laughing because of the old saying "when it rains, it pours". Well I accepted this invite, headed for home, regeared, and headed to Wajaom Woodlands for some colibri massacre. The setup was Pld,Mnk,Thf,Whm,Blm,Rdm. Well, since I'm not 60, and don't have Assasin yet, the Mnk was on first voke duty. He was /war so this always makes me a little nervous since getting a tank to line for SATA fast enough isn't always easy. Well, the Pld was paying attention and lined up quick every time. The monk would only take 1-3 hit before SATAVB went off and set hate hard on the Pld. I'm not sure what good numbers for thieves are at this level but I was consistently doing 685-700 dmg on SATAVB and maxed out at 802. The birds are squishy to piercing so maybe I need to do some work on gear setups. Either way, we went fast and furious and I dinged 58 and got within about 5k of 59 before the pt disbanded.

Sunday morning I finally made it to the Aqueducts to farm up my codexs for the planned run that night. I farmed up one after about 10 kills, warped, traded it to my second char, and headed for round 2. It took another 10 kills or so to get another one so I was excited for the belt run. Unfortunately it didn't happen, but I now have 2 codexs for future runs.




In the evening I level'd Pld. My static for my Pld has been making tracks all over Bibiki Bay. We only level on the weekends because a couple members work evenings. I got to level 66 on Saturday night and 67 on Sunday night, and my goal for this weekend is to get to 69. Next week I'll be doing some farming so I can pick up my new gear. I'm thinking if we hit it hard for the next 3 weekends or so I should ding 75. That will be a great day as I'm thinking about doing some meriting so I can get Chivalry as soon as I ding.

It was around 1 a.m. when I noticed it was almost full moon. I looked to see if a couple of friends were on so we could try a BCNM. Well, they were online, just not on FFXI. I sent a couple AIM messages and got them moving over to FFXI so we could run. I muled my Rdm gear for a 40 cap run and then realized I didn't have enough seals on my main for a 40 Orb. Well, my second character had enough so I figured I would just use that one but since it only has whm high enough we would be trying the BCNM with a little different setup for my orb. Well, Royal Jellies is the BCNM we run because it's easy and we know we can do it fast. War,War,Rdm is our setup for rocking this BCNM. Well, the first to orbs were normal runs and then we got to my orb. War,War,Whm would be the setup for this. None of us have ever run this without a Rdm so we weren't sure what to expect. Well, since I didn't have gravity and my 2nd chars enfeebling magic isn't the best I just hasted the wars and tried to bind the first jelly. Well, I am thinking this setup is better because 2 hasted warriors just tear through the jellies in record time. When it was all said and done we didn't have great drops, but I did get a Fire Spirit Pact that I needed for my Summoner, so I was happy.



Well, it was Labor Day in the states so I didn't have go to work. I had been looking for a new item to farm where I could make money and exp for my thief at the same time. Well, I saw that Giant Bird Plumes are good money so I headed for Misareaux Coast for some Diatryma killing. I still had a tactics pearl from the previous week so I figured I'd burn it up out here. Well, I don't know if any of you have tried to get these plumes but they have got to have the worst drop rate I've seen. My NPC got 2 levels up to 45, I gained almost 5k exp, 6 stacks of worthless meat, 3 stacks of feather, and 9 plumes. Give me a break!! Oh well, I tried it, it didn't work, so it's on to something else. That is, after I finish the stack of plumes doh!.



I did get a cool new background for my PC while I was out there so that always makes me happy.



I also helped a friend on Monday night get 1 of his 3 items for G1, and this coming weekend I'm going to take him around for the other 2.

Wednesday was Limbus night. We had 1 more popset for the dirty ho bag Ultima. She raped us on our first fight so we had a good plan for this fight. Well, we got there and things were going well, we got her down to around 30% and then the plan started to go wrong. Some of our DD's were way to excited to use their 2hr's and didn't notice the timer. I yelled RUN!!!!! but only a couple seen it and most of our group got dusted by Citadel Buster. We got them up and still worked hard on her but in the end Ultima was victorious again. The last time we got her down to around 15%, this time was about 5-7%. We learned a lot and hopefully after we farm up another popset we will be victorious.

Odds an Ends

{I'm Back} Yeah yeah, I know, update more. I always want to but then get busy and not get around to doing it.

Well, I'm leveling 2 jobs atm to 75. They are both jobs that do not get a lot of pt invites. I enjoy playing them so the lack of invites is not a problem, annoying, but not a problem.

Paladin is one of those jobs. The only time I get to level this is on the weekends because I seem to have to seek for hours to get an invite. 2 weekends ago I was lfp for about 10-12 hours and not an invite. This past weekend I was lfp for about 2 hours when I got an invite. We partied for many hours and I went from 63-65 on Saturday. Sunday I partied with the same Samurai and Red Mage from the night before. I didn't gain a level but got some good exp.

Thief is the other job. This one I have been in a static on Saturday nights but I may have to leave that static so I can pursue Limbus more. I haven't really started lfp on this job yet because I'm still farming so I can buy most of my gear before I get my levels. I've been out in the Sanctuary A LOT lately. I've been farming tree cuttings and moss off of the goobbue's there. The best part is that I have been getting exp for every kill. It's not a lot of exp but it adds up and the Beastmen's Seal drops are well worth it. Even though it's not a lot of exp, it just a couple of farming sessions I made about 6-7k exp and a few hundred thousand gil. I also did this:

After I dinged that level I noticed that some of the goobbue were {Too Weak} so I'm in search of some new farming grounds so I can get exp consistently. I will still be farming them, just not as regularly.

Monday was Update day so I had to wait to log on. A {Long time} {Friend}(as in kindergarten long) of mine quit the game a few months back, and has no plans on coming back to the game. I spoke to him on Sunday about getting his old char. He made it to 47 whm with it and had gotten some of the tedious stuff out of the way so I plan on using this char as a telly-ho and a haste-ho when I level NPC's. He has his NPC so I've been in a 4-man party by myself(OMG am I turning into a freak or what). With this char came a 4 mules that have so many different items on them. He was taking up clothcraft, doing some bonework, and a little woodwork so there are all sorts of mats for lower level synths. Needless to say I've spent a good chunk of time this week figuring out what he has and then consolidating his stuff with the items I already have. I may just have to sell some stuff off, but anyone that knows me, knows I'm a pack rat. There are quite a few things I'd like to do with this char but it will be a while before I really do anything crazy. I'll be taking pictures more in the future so you'll get to see us in action. If you see a Taru named Glob running around give him a /wave or a /punt. =P

Also on Monday, a good friend of mine asked for a little help. In my last update I had gotten my Jelly Ring. Well, his main job is Paladin and he hadn't gotten this ring yet so asked if I could help. Of course I was willing to blow up the Sewer Syrup again. I had to see if I could improve my numbers. It was just like the night I got mine, kill a few PH's and POP! I was a little off on my casting so my numbers weren't as good, at least I didn't really notice them because I was too busy manually swapping gear, Thanks a freaking lot SE. The Update had changed some of the names for my equipment swaps so I had to check/change my gear quite a few times. In the end it only took a couple minutes and he got his ring. Congratulations Nycon on one more nice piece of gear.

Wednesday is Limbus day for me. I just started doing Limbus a week ago so it's all pretty new to me. I've made 1 run total, gotten 3 coins, and I'm now only 72 coins away from a Loquacious Earring for my Blm. Well this Wednesday would be an interesting one. We got a bit of a late start because our thief was fapping I think(just kidding, no real idea what he was doing). Well while he was away we talked about what we were going to do for the night. Well the leaders decided since we had a pop set for Proto-Ultima we were going to give it a shot. This was the shells first attempt at Ultima so start drawing conclusions to what happened.

I think they said we got it down to around 15ish% before is decimated us. We figured out where we went wrong so next time Ultima, you better be ready, because I know we will!

Thursday I did ODS with some friends from my LS. I had never done this BCNM but we kicked ass for only having 4 people. We did the run 4 times but not a lot of money drops. 1 person got a Serket ring and I got a Pole Strap. I also got a Heart Snatcher which doesn't look like a bad knife once the latent is broke. I might use it with the Sirocco Kukri until I can get the Blau Dolch and Perseus's Harpe. My thief has a ways to go before I need to worry about those lol.

Fomor's, and Gigas, and Merits OH MY!!

Well, I've been slacking again on the updates but this one is a day sooner than the last >.>.

Oh how I hate thee which has fallen in battle and come back to cause me eternal grief. From a previous post I had spoken about doing a Fomor Codex run. Well the time has come again to hunt down another codex. The same friends and I that got our codex's the last time decided to pop them on Friday night. 0/3 is about all I have to say about that. I don't think we killed enough to get my TH2 warmed up. Anyway, thanks to all that helped and here's a pic to show our group.

These guys are the big dumb lugs you almost have to love around Vana'diel. This next one is on the lower end of that list just for the sheer aggravation he caused me when trying to cast a spell on him. His name is Gration and he can intimidate even the best. After our attempted Swift Belt run one of our helpers asked if we could help him kill this thing. Well of course we said "you bet your sweet ass petunia" we'll help you. This guy even helped us farm our codex's so it's only right we help as much as possible. So anyway, back to the fight. It was a long, LONG, fight. Dot's at 4/tick is a slow death. The Ninja, Paladin, and Monk were tp'ing on the critters around the area and then weapon skilling on Gration. He didn't go down easy, but we got him after about 1-1.5 hours of kiting, DoTing, and a few choice nukes by yours truly. I wish I would have been on my PC for it because I even got the kill shot. Either way our helper got the help he needed and recieved his Tatami Shield. Grats Skaw on your new shield.

Well I busted out a couple more on Saturday morning to get to a total of 5 and then I got this:



My next planned set of upgrades will be my Ice Magic Potency. Only on stage 2 so it will be a while before completion.

Tuesday I farmed for a while and then went hunting. Hunting a smelly, slimy, ugly thing known as Sewer Syrup. My Paladin is 63 and can wear the nice ring it drops. My friend Passions came down to help me camp.(read: kept me company for the agonizing repop timer on slimes) Well after a couple hours Pass had to log and I stayed for a couple more pops, but no dice.

Wednesday was a whole new story. I went down there, killed a few slimes and then there it was, less than 45 minutes since my arrival. I was still resting from my last Mousse kill but was getting antsy to kill. Now I had read about how much hp this thing had so I was ready to Manafont at the drop of a hat. I got up, buffed, ate food, and rested 1 click. After that it was pretty much all over, but the crying from the Syrup. Grav, T4, B4, Stun, Bind, SS, F4, T4, Manafont, Burst II(2245 dmg^^), Stun, Bind, SS, Freeze II(2136), and done. Total dmg was 11093 in 6 spells, so an avg of about 1848 per spell. Needless to say I was very shocked at how weak this thing is to magic. A friend made the comment that it might have the same characteristics of the ring which make it so weak to magic. Either way I have a nice new shiny ring to play Pld with. Back to leveling =)

Rockin', Rollin', and Dying!!

Well, I have been a slacker and not updated this thing in a week. I wanted to do 2 updates a week at a bare minimum so I'll try to get my act together.

Well, later last week I was still working on my goal of a couple levels on Paladin. Well it didn't quite work out as I spent most of the weekend seeking for a party and only got solo exp. My buddy Zoldof gained a level though while we were duoing. Soon he'll be level 40 and I can switch him to healer mode for haste. Here are a couple pics of one adorable Tarudin of Valor!!




A good friend of mine and I have been talking lately about how we need to get our Swift Belts. So, we found a couple others that wanted either a codex or subligar and we put my Tantalizing Tarutaru Treasure Hunter to work. We headed off to the Phomiuna Aqueducts for some Tauri and Fomor slaying. At first it was only 4 of us and we took down some of the weaker Tauri but we couldn't do fomors or the stronger Tauri mobs. One of the people called in reinforcements by asking a Beastmaster to come for the slayage. The Bst showed up and we killed for a little bit going back and forth between Tauri and Fomors. It only took 4 fomor kills to get our first subligar, a bst/brd one, and only 2 more after that to get our last one, a thief subligar. In between those we weren't having much luck with codex drops, but after a couple more kills one finally dropped. A Ninja showed up to lend a helping hand, and boys was it ever helpful. We were killing much faster and even cleared a couple rooms and had to wait for repops. All in all it was good run even though there was taru death. I like stealing hate from the tank but not just before Doom is cast haha.

It was a good time and we had some good laughs. Thanks to all that came out to help and Grats to those that got an item. Here's a pic of the crew, Kaete is the one on the right that got her name cut off. Now it's just a matter of getting a group together to brave the Sacrarium to pop our codexs.


I finally went up to the castle after beating the Dynamis Lord. I've been involved on about a dozen or so kills of DL but never went up there because we always ran off to farm right away.


Also in the news today, I went from 24-25 in fishing this week, and also 24-28 in Alchemy. Craftaholic must craft =P
