Ding Ding Ding!!!

Well, it was a good weekend. I basically only did one thing all weekend, but it was a goal I set last week. I leveled Ranger to 40 over the weekend to finish it out as a sub for NM camping, and get my Marksmanship up a bit higher for Thief. I was very fortunate to only have 4 parties that took me from a Jungle nub, to a Desert raider, and finally a Nest destroyer.

I started at Lv.27 in the 1st party about 10a.m. on Saturday in Yhoator Jungle. By a little after 6p.m. I was leaving the jungle on one more job at Lv.32. It took a few hours, but we had a few people need to go and no reps avail, so we fought as 4 and 5 for a while when we couldn't find reps. The exp actually stayed pretty decent the whole time.

After a much needed 2 hour break, it was off to The Altepa Desert for some beetle and dhalmel destruction. This party had a few rough moments from a thief that was extremely slow on SATA, and a whm that liked to burn their entire MP pool on the first fight. After we tried to talk to the thief multiple times about them being a {Slow} {/poke}(yes we were being nice about it) we had to let them go and get a monk to replace them. After a few more kills, our Summoner spoke with the whm about casting banish and some other unneccesary spells, and things took a drastic change for the better. we started getting higher chains, and the whole exp flow was much better. So, by about 1 a.m. I dinged 36, had a small buff, and the party disbanded.

I recieved an invite for a party in the nest. The party was just forming, and the leader said we had a PL. I would have taken the invite regardless, as I'd rather not have a PL. So we get out to the Nest, and it's empty O.O, yeah, that's what we did. The first sac room completely void of life except for the creatures that inhabit the nest. Pull's were a little difficult at first cause of all the crawlers bunched up but soon I had pulled out certain ones and made it easy to pull fast and hard. A little later a couple parties showed up and exp slowed, but I was able to ding 38 in this party before we disbanded.

My last party was another Jeuno formation. This party will have it's first for me, a Paladin tank. Every other party I've had, was with a Ninja as tank. Anyone who's played ranger knows how much hate can be generated, and Ninja's just can't hold it so you have to hold back some on your damage. Well, we head out to the Nest and start fighting Soldiers for generous amounts of exp and I could go all out with all of my /Ja's and Ws's. We all ding 1 level before our Paladin got a little wife aggro, and had to jet out. He was replaced by a Ninja, and unfortunately exp slowed cause the damage was reduced some, and our 2 rdm's were healing the rest of us more. The Ninja told the pt he had to go soon, he called out he had 5 minutes left and wouldn't ya know it, he dinged his level, we did 2 more kills and he was gone. There were no other tanks available, but luckily our Paladin that left earlier happen to return 5 minutes after the Ninja left. Shouts of joy and excitement were all over the place, and I was eager to start pulling again. Everyone dinged a level or 2 more before we disbanded, and I left a very satisfied Taru. All of my skills capped and a great buffer on Lv.40

After warping back to my palace in Windurst, a friend of mine and an uber nuber, needed some help with the Summoner quest. He had asked where to find ice weather, I told him Beaucedine Glacier, but he had no idea how to get there. He was out leveling in the canyon when I finished party so after a little teleporting and warping we met in East Ronfaure for the trek to the glacier. Well we got there without a problem, he got his ice weather when we zoned in so now all he has left is fire weather. We tried to hit the deserts but no luck and the weather person in Rabao said it was just going to be sunny and not hot. I only play with this guy on the weekends since we work different shifts, but if he doesn't have fire weather by the weekend I'll take him around to find it.

All in all it was a good weekend. 1 more sub job complete, and even more reasons to get my thief to 75. More things planned for this week so there should be some more updates soon. Thanks for reading.

Peace,
Shmed
